Some solid precip reports in eastern Iowa. Northeast Iowa got hit the hardest. Currently at about .6" near my house. I'm seeing reports over 1" in Cedar Rapids though. Ottumwa airport is only showing about 0.2" though so hopefully that area can get more substantial rain later.
The clips of the expectations prior to the debate are crazy. "Stay awake." "Remain upright." "Portray normalness." "Stay alert."
These are the expectations set for the two men who want to lead the free world. Our collective bar for what we expect out of a president has been lowered so far down that now we just hope they can withstand a 90 minute debate without falling over dead or acting crazy.
Absolutely insane.
Yeah... eventually it ends up close to climo regardless of the situation and that would be a warm bias when troughing is dominant. It will also have a significant cool bias if the pattern does end up ridgy.
Most spots dropped well down into the 50's last night with the chilliest temp the 50.9 degree low at Warwick Township. A great day on the way with low humidity as highs possibly not escaping the 70's in the higher spots in Chester County. Rain chances ramp up by tomorrow night and into Sunday before sunny and cooler again to start the new work week on Monday.
Chester County records for today: High 101 degrees at West Chester (1963) / Low 47 degrees at Morgantown/Elverson (1970) / Rain 3.33" Glenmoore COOP (2006)
