I remember that month as the true beginning of our modern warm season regime. July that year was fairly cool, I left for a three week vacation with some extended family late in the month. Came back weeks of sun and warmth lasting into September. After 2010 and 2011 I remember actually welcoming it with open arms. Back when heatwaves were rarer and I had serious thoughts that we may not see a Summer as warm as 2009 ever again. And I was even sad about it. lol
Hell of a statement:
It wasn't until the debate that they felt comfortable letting her go public with their (still anonymous) concerns: "Up close, the president does not look quite plausible. It's not that he's old. We all know what old looks like. ... The president was something stranger, something not of this earth."
Sounds like the press corps is pissed, Democrat donors are pissed, Biden campaign staffers are pissed, White House aides are pissed, some congressional Democrats are pissed... Just about everyone is pissed at Biden and his inner team.
I fully expect Biden to continue putting up a fight but it almost feels like the pressure to bow out will be too large to be sustainable long term.
