Pretty sure 2-25-19 in Eugene didn’t drop below 32. You’d have to ask Shawnigan but I think they got belted with 10” of 33 degree snow on 12/21/20 as well. Don’t think temperature is really a qualifier if it snows enough.
So the difference between this month's high and previous record high for the month (since 1899) is more than the difference between this March's high and their all time record high
I've camped in temperatures like that. It's actually not bad if:
a) humidity is low
b) there is shade
c) you can just sit around instead of doing much physical activity, and
d) there is water to cool off in nearby
