Too bad there's no way to verify if this guy in Lincoln City has his sensor in a reasonable location or not, because 23 degrees in a quarter mile is probably just about the sharpest gradient you'll ever see, outside of a monster downslope wind scouring out a crazy cold pool back east of the Rockies or something.
Given the presence of this hill and bluff to the NNW, I wouldn't be shocked if those numbers are at least in the ballpark of reality:
