Wild. I didn't realize that Hawaii overall only has two recorded direct hits by hurricanes. It seems odd when you consider how far south the islands are, but I guess it's mainly due to dominant wind shear in the region and how much cooler the western Pacific is compared to the east Pacific or Caribbean.
