Yep, I'm taking the overall warm season into account since it pretty much all blends together now anyways. I think 2022 will be a bit worse when all is said and done because of the aggressively gross back end, but up through this point I'd definitely say I preferred it because that May/June was simply miles ahead of this year. Having some of the shoulder months show at least a little contrast to the neverending warm+dry goes a long ways in my mind.

Having such a strong Nino and such a -PDO is probably a ~6 standard deviation happening.

Looking at 23-24, 72-73 and 65-66 as too analog years. 15-16 and 97-98 don't look great, only bunched in based on strong nino.

Yeah, I think BLI snowman must be including May and June as summer months when he said that this summer was worse than 2022. That was a nonstop torch after the ULL fest and complaints from North Bend fell off around mid-June.
