I have swam (swum? Swimmed?) in lake tapps and it was freezing. Maybe early in the year - a long time ago and I don’t remember.

I think it's different life philosophies tbh. I grew up in a more distant household so my parents would never see me on a weekly basis in my 20's. My wife talks with her family like 5 times a day on the phone and get together multiple times a week. Everything is different. I see both sides. The reason I want so much acreage is so I can give my kids some land in 15-20 years so they can build their own house and create a family compound. We will see where life takes us. Even with a plan, life takes you in another direction.

I'm actually working on something right now (hope to start rolling it out in the next week or so) that is not explicitly in regards to seasonal snowfall, but somewhat related, and I can say that most of the stronger Ninos do tend to produce some pockets/zones of above average snowfall even in the Lakes or Ohio Valley area. However, those areas of above average snowfall usually tend to cover a relatively small area, so the trick is to try to end up in a lucky spot. Obviously we have no control over that though!

Today is the first day in 10 that KDSM has actually reported CLR skies for at least one metar. No wonder the following, and looks cloudy for the foreseeable future.

A wet and chilly final ride for 2026. The spiderwebs don’t show up well in the picture, but there were plenty of them! They were crawling up my leg as I was riding over to the boat launch.
