Interesting to note that the GFS led the ECMWF/EPS with the cooler and wetter period ahead starting tomorrow. The GFS was the most aggressive model going back a few days and the ECMWF/EPS have slowly followed. That doesn't mean the GFS is better with surface details now that they agree on the upper level pattern. But it is worth mentioning that sometimes the GFS ends up being right about a pattern change... even within 7 days.
The precip loop on the 06Z ECMWF shows that the rain chances diminish quickly from Seattle southward through Saturday. The rain has a tough time making it south of Seattle.
Yeah. They had no choice. When we began, RCRA didn’t exist.
The suits would come down from DC, tour the plant, study our process, waste streams, and end product use, go back to DC and write regs.
So chem plants that generate a waste stream have us to “blame” for the regulation of their company.
Better to use us than some of the nightmare trash recyclers. We were clean, organized, responsible and still geared for profit.
However, when we came on the scene there were like 50 chem recyclers. When we were up and rolling we put about 40 of those “trash recyclers” out of business.
They had dirty processes and contaminated sites. We’d target a company and grab their big customers. Clean process, cradle to grave recording and far less risk to everyone. We were one of the first under Reagan in the 80’s and wept all the way to the bank.
We patented an approved waste fuel process and the trucks lined up.
The legacy is a far cleaner industry and re-use for waste chemicals.

The economy stinks under this administration. It isn’t just Biden, it’s the entire mindset. Business and innovation struggle right now and no one has their back. Few incentives and fewer tax breaks. Why would anyone open a business in this environment?!
