Man we need this here in Eastern Nebraska. Since July 8th, we had just a few hundredths of rainfall… things are drying up fast again with the high heat after a decent start to the summer (precipitation-wise).

Just Another day in paradise. High 103* Heat index 117*. Humidity 40%

I was near the IL/IN border when the storm hit and it was bad. Very high winds and some hail and the sky had a green tint to it. Was indoors but I saw debris flying through the air, and now I see reports of some heavy damage to at least 1 house just over the border in Lansing, IL, so I wonder if I was seeing the debris from a tornado.

Happens quite a few years. I regularly follow the first snows of the upcoming winter season and they usually fall later in July or early August.
