Saw this in early June in Abbotsford. Abbotsford is one of, if not the most conservative city in the province. It was surprising. These aren’t conservatives, nor were they the “coexist” crowd. It was a parade of Jew-hatred—loud and obnoxious. My seven-year-old son asked what that parade was all about. I was so hot under the collar I blurted out “Jew haters.” I then unpacked that and closed my discussion with him saying those people need prayer.
Of course it isn’t all young Dems, and I think you would agree. It is true that Zionism (not a dirty word) is at least nominally present in older blue dog Dems. But the Democrats’ younger base doesn’t lean that way. That is a fact rather than an opinion.
Anti-semitism on the left is an issue here too. A provincial MLA left the socialist NDP party and now sits as an independent. She’s Jewish and was disappointed and disgusted post-October 7 with the NDP. There have been a couple federal MPs that publicly expressed concern as well who are anything but right-wing.
Well it's their not their boat! Seems like kids in their early 20s who now have real jobs become much more respectful and appreciative of their parents. Also my wife is out of town this weekend so I think they are going out of their way to include me. Last weekend they came out on the boat with my wife and I just because they wanted to hang out with us.
I'm well aware. That doesn't make me hate what humidity we have any less. At any rate Shelton is already down to 70 on the temp. Good push in progress. Dew points are dropping in some places as well.
