12z GFS looking much better than the 00z run for the 1/5 storm.

It's raining pretty hard this morning, still very dark out, yesterday it seemed like the sun went down about 1p, today it seems like it hasn't come up yet. Not sure what's going on.

12z Canadian also coming in looking much nicer for the NYE storm. 6 inches for Sioux Falls! 12z GFS keeps it all rain and shows no snow here at all. Someone mentioned during one of the last couple clippers that the Canadian models tend to perform better with clippers. We have a cousin flying in today to visit until Thursday. We are planning on taking her to Falls Park on Wednesday to look at all their Christmas lights. Sure would be nice to have a solid snowcover to make it a bit more wintry. Hope the Canadian models (and NAM!) are on to something.
