My forecast amounts have gone up overnight. Now most are 4-7” as an initial attempt. My snow will probably be drier than further southeast. NWS Hastings holding off on headlines, as always, but says they are likely coming. Seems I80 and south is more favored. I’m 17 miles south of I80 in Central Nebraska. Here is one of my weather app predictions.
I like where you sit as there will be a lot of cold air around and the moisture shouldn't be a problem. This is that "Midwest Mualer" that has been so hard to find over the past 10 years or more! Congrats to you guys down south..it's been a while...even though my hometown peeps up in Chitown won't be in the big snows, I do feel this one has a good chance of at least a few inches and I'm counting on the Lake to be a "giving friend".
Today, while still below normal temperatures will be our warmest day for quite a while. Tomorrow we will be a bit chillier than today, and we will likely see our last above freezing temperatures for about 10 days. Some light snow is possible by tomorrow evening with a coating to an inch in spots. Cold and dry for the weekend before our snow chances increase on Sunday evening into Monday.
Unfortunately (IMHO), KOMO and it's hometown driven news died when she did.
Other stations tried to have the same "essence" that KOMO did and failed.
The dream team of Dan Lewis, Kathy Goertzen, Steve Pool, Bruce King and Eric Johnson was hard to match. That was a group of people Seattle was very lucky to have in peoples homes every night.
