Next few weeks will need AC. No signs of respite. Will be either average or above average for the foreseeable future. Lots of 80s.

Finally broke down and got 2 portable AC units for this summer. Got them cheap from the neighbors who upgraded to mini splits. This is a good test run to see how cool we can keep the house and where to strategically place them for the best cooling for the entire house. I'm trying to keep my furnace on recirculating air and hopefully some cool air makes it to the bedrooms. A lot cooler already than previous years at 75 inside and 85-87 outside. As a native Washington I never thought I'd want AC and yet here we are.

Well the pattern setting up for the remainder of the month looks cool, wet, and stormy at times. JMA weeklies say it keeps going. ECMWF weeklies disagree but they didn't see what we have coming either.
