I’d say it would qualify as a heatwave, albeit short lived. 92 and 93 here the last couple days is pretty hot any time of the year. It definitely ended up being kind of a “rug push” right beforehand and over performed. Couple days before it looked like it might not even hit 90.
Apparently the true definition only needs 2 days. I had 2. What is SEA average high in June? SEA had 2 straight days that they broke record highs, that's gotta be a heatwave.
I was mostly being tongue in cheek. +15 for three days straight is a tall order, only accomplished by a handful of heat waves most places.
That said, for most the Puget Sound I would say this was just a two day heat wave. Low 80s most spots Saturday around Seattle/Tacoma metro (83 SEA, 80 Seattle WFO, 82 Renton, 81 BFI)...that definitely ain't heatwave material.
