Pretty much a nothingburger precip-wise today in the lowlands, except for a handful of winners, all thanks to mountain storms:
0.48" near Lake Cushman WA
0.13" in Marblemount WA
A few hundredths of an inch near both Discovery Bay WA, and Ladysmith BC. The latter seems like it was undersampled, with radar recording two small red blobs drifting off Vancouver Island into the Strait of Georgia
Another 2.25" of rain today brings this month to around 9" of rain. Pretty impressive considering we had less than an inch in May (lowest rainfall monthly record) and had a record setting April (highest April rainfall)
Up to 7 tornado warnings this year and 3rd time with hail.
Can stop raining for a few days now so I dont have to raise the pier
I was looking through today's satellite loop and noticed something cool.. Early morning clouds over Seattle drifted due north, lifting but not dissipating as the day's heating progressed, until forming into thunderstorms over the high terrain around Mount Baker.
