Still think it’s too far to be sure, particularly west of the Cascades. Running +1.7 for July, so while it’s by no means an extremely warm month, it is another summer month that’s fairly warmer than average for my area.

If we miss out on this potential round of rain, we will almost certainly slip back into moderate drought once again. At least we will get a bit of a break from the oppressive heat though... three straight days of 105-115 heat index was enough for me!

Hope it does not snow there tomorrow, or all that smoke from the Oregon fires will be blown far into the Pacific like September 2020.

Yeah I don’t buy it. This is going to be as close to a throw back summer as we can get. Unfortunately, the poor winter is still going to leave us all in smoke.
