Just for entertainment purposes at this point, but there are a few things that caught my eye. That's more than a respectable amount of snow in the deep South by their standards. Interesting that Columbus, OH gets more snow than Chicago. And there seems to be a storm track that favors the interior northeast, with precip type problems toward the coast, at least at times. Also note that this is just DJF and doesn't include other months. Given that super Ninos can be pretty bad, if the choice was between this map or rolling the dice, I'd probably pick this.

Looks like the official low for Grand Rapids was at least 46 I also had a low of 46. In norther lower and the UP of Michigan there were a lot of lows in the mid to upper 30's
