NWS_LA Even in June Gloom conditions these values would normally result in hot temps inland a ways. L:

Guest happ
Dew point temp are in high 60’s in low desert but low 60’s or even high 50’s in coastal areas. Wonder if lower DP’s cooled minimums last night? Two degrees cooler.
Anti Marine Layer
Clouds have become mostly scattered, but the clouds that remain are being pushed around with quite a force. Anti Marine Layer
Strange day today. By 10 am it warmed up feeling like the sun was about to come out, but that took another 2 hours. By afternoon the wind made it feel cooler in the shade than when it was cloudy even though the sun was out most of the time.
Anti Marine Layer
Low clouds have made it further inland this morning, but they look to be not quite as thick as yesterday.
Guest happ
Good chance today's max will be in the 70's again and may end the month w/ negative departures if troughs persist as predicted. 6 days below 80F so far which isn't unusual considering the average monthly max is 82°. Thunder98
Its surprisingly humid today with scattering marine layer clouds. Temperature is 71F with a dew point of 60F. Anti Marine Layer
Looks like wind has shifted to the southeast from the shape of the areas of clear sky off the islands. This may have also helped pull the clouds away.

Anti Marine Layer
Seems to be a little less gloomy this morning. No coastal heat waves expected in the near future, but that is pretty typical for this time of year. Hoping to see a monsoon pattern develop by early July

Anti Marine Layer
Whether it's called June Gloom or la garua, some people love it and some people hate it. Lima, Peru has a very boring climate like us, which is not exactly a tropical paradise. They are at 12 S. The Humboldt Current keeps waters chilly there. That means lots of drizzle, no significant rainfall, and no hurricanes.
Anti Marine Layer
Looks like the beaches cleared out well today.
