Was looking at some June stats for Chicago. There hasn't been a record low temp in June since 2003! There have been 3 June record highs in that 21 year period (all since 2020), which is a relatively small number itself.
Last June record low -- 6/2/2003: 38

Holy crap the SUN!!
And a boat that is still under a tarp. I think this is the latest that I have gone without putting the boat in the water for the season.
60 degrees!! Warmest it’s been in I don’t know how long now.
Well, if this comes into fruition, the "old school" rules @Black Hole mentioned that would signify the official start to the Monsoon (3 days in a row with a 55F DP). The Euro and other models suggest the DP's surge into the low 60's starting Fri and maintain the minimum threshold throughout next week. That would be quite a pattern change around here.
