Nice. Winter storm warning here. It hasn’t stopped snowing for 2 days albeit lightly. I have 7 inches on the ground. I said a few days ago this flow will set up very nicely for my area. The wind has been predominately sw. Calling for 4-8” tonight. We shall see. But I could see it if the bands set up long enough. Should be pretty good drifting as well.

Speaking of.. Perfect timing for the "winter" holiday! Won't forget skiing in SWMI on MLK Day 2016 or 17 and inside the lodge there was an uproar when a worker switched the TV from the Blackhawks game. LOL must've been half the crowd was from Chicago enjoying some #Puremichigan winter.

The lack of records from the past don't really provide a clear picture of how much snow fell pre-20th century down in the Deep Gulf states, however, from what we have gathered this has never happened in back to back winters seasons. I'm wondering if this is an indication that an overall shift in the Climatic pattern as nature is starting to give us hints.

If phasing occurs it could take the snow further north and leave me with ice. It's never easy here.
