The sun used to make its first appearance right over the top of Mt Si on this camera...now its the far right corner.

My son called me at 3 a.m. (long story) and I hadn't looked at the time yet and thought it might be dawn based on how bright it was outside.

On a chilly morning like this I will throw on a sweatshirt. But always wear shorts. A sweatshirt is very effective for providing warmth. My legs never get cold. There would be no reason to put on jeans this morning. Even when I am clearing snow from the driveway I will be in a sweatshirt and shorts and gloves unless the snow is deep and above my shoes or if there is wind and blowing snow.

Over the past 48 hours, I have picked up 2.65” of rain in my backyard. For Omaha proper we are now closing in a Top 10 rainiest September in recorded history, and it looks like we are far from done.

Gorgeous outside. Temps at 63F under deep blue skies, wall to wall. Early season Nor'easter slamming the EC w strong winds and hvy rainfall. Its going to be a prolong one too as its moving very slowly. Next time they see sunshine will be early next week. If only it was winter now w bitter cold air in place or even cold enough air (would prefer dry powda, than wet snow), but in any case, this woulda been a dream snowstorm. Lastly, this kinda reminds me of Sandy back in 2012 for some reason.
