Thankfully no significant damage from the storm last night, probably had 65-70 mph wind gusts which caused a lot of downed tree limbs and lawn furniture to be blown around. Our next door neighbors house got hit by a CG around 3:15am - an hour after the main line passed through. Fun night of storm watching and picked up another 0.65” of rain too.
I'd be curious to see some proof that this is how it usually works. Like, are there past analogs where Mexico roasted in the spring and that directly led to the heat dome or whatever expanding into the U.S. for a very hot summer?
