If I were somehow in Trump's shoes and my biggest priority was to win, I would pick a black man as my VP.
The image alone is going to sway some, maybe enough, in a very tight race
He certainly wouldn't lose votes....unless they're really really racist.

A subpoena is a subpoena for a reason. Checks and balances are checks and balances for a reason. If each party gets to start choosing which checks, which balances, which subpoenas they comply with and which ones they don't just because they don't deem it legitimate, that is a dangerously slippery slope.
And again, I find it odd that the party who are the self-proclaimed "saviors of democracy" doesn't see any issue with Garland's statement above. I think it's just another example of hypocrisy, which surely both sides deal with in spades, but makes the Democrats main election platform ("Trump is a danger to democracy") much less potent. He's only a danger to democracy because he will do things that aren't good for them. Which means this election is just like every other election we've had in this country.
Anymore, I think full blown drought is needed to avoid 80 degree dews in the Midwest. I've been having some 80 degree dews even here in the Indiana suburbs of Chicago in recent years. O'Hare also managed an 80 degree dew last year, which is pretty impressive given the increasing urbanization of that area.
