Nice afternoon with lots of sunshine and pleasant temperatures. Pretty typical for New Year's Day here.

Low humidity today really messing up my nose and throat. I was already sick enough as it was.

Cold or the flu?

Been dry here in Phoenix but generally below average temperatures for the most part. Looks like some more rain and lower elevation snow for the mtns in a week.

Sunset tonight at 4:56 PM, same time as November 3, when we ended Daylight Saving Time. Sunrise, however, is 44 minutes later.

Also days are exceeding 10 hours in length again.

Had a high of 76F today slightly warmer than yesterday. I noticed HPWREN finally removed Toro Peak from their camera network, as the cameras on that mountain have all been down since February.

Nice sunset this evening:

Enjoy the darkest morning of Pacific Standard Time. It looks like today will be significantly cooler than yesterday.

I’m looking forward to the longer days in the coming months.

So am I. Later sunsets are already quite noticeable.
