No more than I'm dismissing the +9.5 MTD departure in Olympia or the +8.5 MTD departure in Denver. Those places also aren't Barrow so I guess they're equally relevant to the post you quoted. You always make these cute little drive-by bump troll posts as "gotcha" attempts as if to express incredulity at such basic facts, and it always results in the same circular back and forth. The world isn't anywhere near as cold as it was in 1990 and thus the cold air masses generally aren't as severe or as widespread. It really doesn't have to be much more complicated than that.....
