I think if the track is vaguely right anyone above 500 feet and closer to the foothills would have a solid chance at scoring. But yeah, for a county wide score it has to really be precise.

Yea its so marginal so probably not worth much at this point. Only a narrow area will see snow where precip intensity is enough at upper levels are just able to support snow. Right now looks like the south sound but could change.

If you go out a couple more frames, it shows about 1-2" for the foothills. The 18z was more solid though with several inches throughout the Seattle area. It just depends on the track. If the low slips too far south, then the precip intensity is lost. The precip intensity is the only way it would be cold enough to get sticking snow at the surface. Luckily the trends don't look to be heading back north anymore, it's just a matter of how far south it goes. It's also looking like SE winds are possible on Friday with the right track, which will aid the evaporative cooling process and avoid the SW flow that would warm us up. 925s are cold enough, so heavy precip will do the job.
