Sort of like dental coverage here. Like the time I had a 600 dollar bill for 1/2hr appointment for some fillings. My dentist only charged me 50% because I didn’t have dental coverage. Clearly they are jacking up the price through the dental plans.
Yep. I’ve had a long career with the same company, survived many rounds of layoffs. It’s worked out for me, but there’s no question that if they decide the value I bring is less than the cost to retain me they’d let me go. It’s not a family.
Not sure if it was the case with that fire, but sometimes they can’t get air resources to all of them if there are several dozen new starts from a big lightning event.
