Another half inch of rain overnight as I got the northern part of an MCS. Huge and destructive rains to my south over the Ozarks where up to 12 inches of rain fell east of Springfield. The emergency spillway gates will likely need to be used at Lake of the Ozarks.
The official H/L yesterday at Grand Rapids was 72/50 there was 0.25” of rainfall the highest wind gust was 29 MPH out of the N. For today the average H/L is 78/58 the record high of 93 was set in 1964 and 2020 the record low of 37 was set in 1969. The record warmest low of 72 was set in 2004 and the coldest high of 57 was set in 1937. The wettest was 1.77” in 1963. Last year the H/L was 77/50.
The overnight low here in MBY was 54 I had 0.27” of rainfall yesterday and overnight. At the current time with clear skies it is 57.
A slight chance of a shower this morning then sunny breezy and continued pleasant weather. We start to warm up by the end of the week with some spots possibly hitting 90 degrees for the first time this season by Friday.
