Grab your hats, we're very much over due for 6.0+ quakes.
Scientists believe the stresses are building on the larger fault lines.
The Italian and Myanmar quakes are examples of such stresses.

You have to be concerned over California, New Madrid, and Japanese faults.

We've been due up here for the big one for hundreds of years.

Yeah, I've been reading reports like these for over 20 yrs. what caught my eye was the deep tremors recorded and now we've had two significant 6+ quakes. It's been a long time sine the central Italian Penninsula had a big one.

So it does make one curious if we'll see a rash of these over the next couple years?

The earthquakes  are increasing as every year. Every day there is an earthquake news on the media. And yesterday an earthquake was recorded that hit COQUIMBO, CHILE, which has 4.1 magnitude. After every higher magnitude earthquake, there are always small after shocks. The damages done by the earth quake are increasing every day.
