I work at a grocery store, with the public. Lots of comments amongst both customers and fellow coworkers about the nice weather today. I had the opportunity to chat about the weather with some of the folks who were buying their last minute barbecue meats. Many said some things about the "cold and wet" spring we just "endured", which I thought would really knock your knickers. I sold 100+ raw 80/20 hamburger patties this afternoon. Despite four of us behind the counter, we could barely keep up.
The Puget Sound area northward avoided any real heat today, which I'm pretty thankful for. No wonder people were loving it so much. I personally found it nice, too, if not a bit warm. Sounds like down in Oregon closer to the heart of the ridge, temperatures swelled into the 90s. Far too hot. I can see why many wouldn't have liked it as much down there. That's a Saturday preview for Seattle; similar airmass and ridge strength.
