That 1964 analog has been showing up for days now. Forgot to mention 1961 earlier which was another decent winter. Also seeing 1972 pop up pretty often. Right now the biggies seem to be. 1961, 1964, 1972, 1990, 1996, and 1998. Anyone ready for a December cold wave?

Would take some work, but could a new member group be created just for those who want to participate in a political thread? The thread would be hidden from view from other members. When I was a moderator at another board, we were able to view and post in threads that were hidden from everybody else.

Yup. Everything is as it should be at this point. Many of the years that are somewhat analogous to this one usually have a brief cold shot or two in November, but nothing big.
