Also, I still have yet to vote. Apparently I can vote early here, but I genuinely do not know where, as the state's website for in-person early voting is absolute sh!t and I didn't want a mail-in ballot. So looks like I'll be voting on election day!
I had to go through DEI training at my current job. Almost made me want to apply for the next DEI opening here, it seems like they get paid the big bucks to do nothing.
Man, general elections are way different when your boss's job (and potentially your own job if he loses) is on the line. He's a judge and I work under him. Judge elections are nonpartisan here, and usually incumbents run unopposed. Unfortunately, some assclown is running against him and is SERIOUSLY appealing to the extreme Trump crowd (kinda defeating the purpose of nonpartisan).
I think my guy will win, but D**n I'm nervous. I don't even care about the presidential election, that's why I've posted so little in here compared to 2020.
I really hope we get a decent snowstorm this winter. Our last truly decent snowstorm was in December 2021. We’ve had a quite a few nickel and dime snowfalls since then. Just one 2” snowfall on 11/30/22. It’s not historically uncommon to go a few years without a 3-6” snowfall in Tacoma.
I know I’ll definitely get more snow living out on the kitsap peninsula. Not going to lie elevation is playing the tiniest role in where I am looking lol. I’ve been waiting to hit 2 years at my current job so I can officially put in offers on a house. I hit my 2 years officially 1 week from today.
Going to go look at houses out on the peninsula this weekend and next weekend as well. Have a few I like, so I may be moved out there before the end of the year we will just have to see could take longer of course. Hopefully no later than February or March of next year.
