Portland just elected its new mayor. He has a plan to end unsheltered homelessness in the city. I hope he can do it. I like how he’s a political outsider.
When we talk about wealth inequality and people don’t seem to care, it’s important to put numbers in perspective. It would take 16,677 years for someone with the average salary of 60,000 to get to $1 billion. There is a reason the left doesn’t like the super rich. They are why so many are struggling. Some leftists debate a limit on total wealth. We can’t have people essentially stealing from the rest. Not everyone can be a CEO but they deserve a fair wage.
