Extended GFS also seems to agree with the idea of a westward transition of the trough during the 15-20th period with a colder final third of the month as the trough retrogrades. I suspect there would be enough cold air in Canada for some good winter storms in this period for somebody.

Is the 150 actually serious? Just sounds like sensationalizing to me.

The only positive is that lead up to events and the events themselves I barely get any sleep at all…I have been very well rested so far this season. Would much rather be sleep deprived though and staring at heavy snow falling at 3am!

The SSW was massive on the 18z GFS and it's heading toward centering itself on the pole.

Hmm I should fire up the generator tomorrow morning to make sure it works.
