Fun storm to track and it def appears the Euro AI sniffed this one 6-7 days out before the rest dialed in on the storm potential. The stout 1042mb HP over the Dakota's certainly aiding in the south trend even though there ain't no SNOW OTG up in SD/MN and WI. So much for that old school rule! This storm will be the key to laying down a solid and widespread foundation for future storms and maintain cold air when it hits and holds for the remainder of JAN.

Didn't snow much at all over night. We got about 1.5" But I awoke to some 16 year old girl getting arrested in my backyard after a hit and run accident near my house. She hopped our fence and the police found her while I was sleeping. My wife who works in the ER called to tell me the police were at our house after seeing the cameras lol. The funniest part of the story is she was taken to the ER for minor injuries and my wife had to admit her but couldn't tell her it was our house she tried to hide at. The most annoying part is that there are so many footprints in our driveway I couldn't clear the snow cleanly and will have compacted prints all over my driveway.
