Ah, you're right about Butte airport...looks like Anaconda has decent snowfall records the past few decades, and their last snowfall this late was 1996.
I have to agree. If you get into the higher desert in So Cal you can get snow sometimes and at least some frosty nights. The humidity is also MUCH lower.
I've seen 3+" of snow in every month of the summer back when I worked at the lake lodge in Yellowstone for a few years. But they're at 7800 feet so it hardly counts as special.
