It's 4 consecutive days of no sunshine in San Diego. They had a list of the most consecutive hours of solid overcast in San Diego on the NOAA site once. Too bad I didn't save it somewhere.

Low clouds made a sudden explosion into Orange County. About 2 hours ago, Foothill Ranch was 80. Now it's 66.

Clouds are coming over the southern Santa Ana Mountains right now, visible from here. Quick cooling this evening.

Highest temperatures (Fullerton: 78, Foothill Ranch: 80) we've had in nearly a month today, so the strong onshore push was quite a surprise.

It was misty this morning, but still not enough to wet the ground. The sun is now trying to come out.

It's always nice once the low clouds thin out enough to let some of the warmth of the sun through them. Probably about 71 today at lunch while still overcast. Cleared up about 3 PM, but a cool breeze is blowing off the ocean.

Low clouds reached Riverside at 9:25 PM last night. That is really early for them. Looks like the arrival could be a little bit later tonight.

Last time the skies were not mostly cloudy or overcast at Lindbergh Field is 3:51 PM, June 2. They are now approaching 5 days, 5 hours (125 hours) and could make it into the top 5 cloudiest periods by tomorrow afternoon.

Despite the drizzle which wet the ground a little bit and dampened our cushions outside, it looks like the sun will come out earlier today.

June Gloom or no June Gloom, the temperature in San Diego is only one degree warmer (67 F) than it was at this time yesterday (66 F). So they'll likely go through the first 8 days of June without reaching 70 F.

San Diego finally reached the 70 F mark today on the 9th day of June. Currently it's 72 F there.

Hot today for the first time in ages.

100 degrees here already at only 11 AM.

104 F here right now, almost everywhere inland is in triple-digits today.

It's hot here too (low 90s) in Irvine, but Scripps Pier was only 64.

Foothill Ranch reached 100 F, which is what they use for Lake Forest.

Topped out at 105 F at my house today, but high clouds have since come into the picture.

Offshore flow at the peak of the June Gloom season is quite unusual and it seems to have reached to within a few miles of the coast, but it was not enough to eliminate the low clouds and fog at the beaches. Temperatures gradient was about 20 degrees from John Wayne Airport to the immediate coast at the peak of the afternoon heat.

Not quite as hot today with more of a sea breeze. Yesterday at this time it was near 100 here. Today it's probably low to mid 80s.

It did cool down more quickly this evening, it's only 78F here now and breezy. At this time yesterday it was still 95F and stagnant. The afternoon was technically hotter here today than yesterday, although today the heat lasted only half as long.

The marine layer has deepened quite a bit. Julian is only supposed to be 71 today after reaching 89 yesterday.

San Diego reached 70 today, despite remaining cloudy all day.

It took its lovely time, but clouds did finally burn back to near the beaches. Looks like the normal trough pattern for this spring is back.

Today was another one of those days where you could feel the sun's warmth coming through the clouds about 2 hours before they burned off. Looks like Fullerton reached 73 under overcast skies.
