Just the second 90+ degree day of the year at DEN. Normal would put us around 15 by now.

Yesterday was initially forecast to hit 85-86, but only topped out at 81 as a cold front moved in during the am.

Another cooler than normal day today with highs in the low 80s and a few storms around, then we get the hottest weather of the year to date, with temps hitting mid to upper 90s Monday. 

Fortunately, it looks like a brief heatwave with temps likely cooling back into the 80s later in the week.

Im forecast to hit 99 tomorrow. Should be a nice day for working in the basement instead of upstairs.

High of 97 for DEN today, hottest of the year. One more hot day tomorrow in the mid 90s, then much cooler with a good chance of storms each afternoon Wed-Fri.

It’s been raining today. I guess I can accept it. But my bigger issue is the grasshoppers. They are everywhere and I can’t stop them.

After a -4 June, July is running -2.5 at DEN. Picked up .27" of showers the past couple days, up to about 1.5" on the month.

Looks like things heat up from here, sadly...90s likely for at least the next week.

Flood watch in effect for this evening and tomorrow, as the GFS is showing 2-3" of rain for the metro over that period. Euro shows way less, though.

Despite a streak of ten 90+ days to end the month, DEN still finished July with -1.2 anomaly. 

Only 1 month still since last October with a positive departure.

Just 63 degrees at noon with overcast. Pretty unusual for 8/6.

Eight days into the month, and DEN hasn't hit 90 in August. Will be running about -4 departure after today.

There have been 17 90+ days so far this year. This is the least since 2009 only had 13 at this point in the summer. That year finished with only 18 90+ days. Average is around 45/year since the current airport station was built in the mid 1990s.

Cloudy all day with a high of 75 at DEN. Normal is around 90.

Narrowly avoided our first triple digits of the year today with a 99 at DEN. Month is still running about -2.5, but looks like plenty of hot weather ahead so might be tough to pull off another below normal month.

Fortunately, the end to this recent hot streak is in sight, with 70s to low 80s likely by end of the week.

Thanks to a very hot finish to the month, August ended up with a +1.3 departure at DEN.

With an overall departure of -1.4, 2023 was easily the coolest summer at DEN since 2009, which is the second coolest summer on record.

Still a long ways to go, but 2023 is on track to be the third coolest year on record. Once again behind 2009 as second coolest.

After a hot start to September (DEN running a departure of +5.4 and all but two days have reached 90), the pattern is about to turn much cooler. Highs may struggle to reach 70 tomorrow with numerous showers, and Monday is looking even cooler and wet with temps in the 60s.

Not quite the 100 degrees to snow two days later we saw in 2020, but at least fall looks to be arriving on schedule this year.

Halfway through September, DEN is running a +1.6 departure, much cooler since the blazing first week of the month.

Also picked up about half an inch of rain a couple days ago, mountains got their first real snow. 

Low of 44 this am, feels like fall.

Looks like September will end around +3 or so for DEN. By far the warmest anomaly since October 2022.

I would say that it has been quite uneventful so far this fall just from the lack of activity in this thread as of late. Hopefully the action begins to pick up soon!

DEN hit a disgusting 85 today, tying the record from 1991. 

Even though DEN has somehow never hit 90 in October, they've hit 85+ as late as 10/24.

First snowfall of the season on track for Saturday. GFS is showing 6-8", while Euro and GEM show 3-4".

GFS puts the banding bullseye right over Denver metro tomorrow night. GEM basically agrees, giving Denver 7".

DEN had a record cold max of 31 on Saturday. Bottomed out at 11 this morning.

Impressive event, but not on the same level as 1991 or 2002. 1991 had a 21/7 day on 10/30, and 2002 had back to back days with highs of just 20 on 10/31 and 11/1.

Been a pretty lame and very torchy November so far (no snow), but looks much more promising over the next week or so.

Much colder and potentially a nice snowfall next week. This would be lovely.

Pretty cold the past couple days. 25/16 and 21/12 at DEN. Picked up 3" of snow.

After another dry and very warm stretch, much colder today. Models show a brief burst of heavy snow this evening, but could mostly miss just to the south.

So tomorrow at this time I may have 1" on the ground or could be 5".

This has been quite a boring fall so far, not only for the intermountain west region, but for much of CA and the SW as well. I'm hoping that changes as we get closer to the Holidays!

I'm flying out Christmas Eve morning, and it looks like it could be in the middle of a storm (great, maybe delays).

Euro shows quite a bit of precip, though the first few hours could be rain.

White Christmas looking extremely likely for Denver, with most models showing around 2" tonight and into tomorrow morning, and then high temps near freezing both Christmas Eve and Christmas.

The CMC is the outlier, showing up to 6" for Denver.
