I wonder how fast Peace would break out if we cut off all the aid, money and commerce? 🤔

Put some strings to all that cash.

Here's what Ayaan Hirsi Ali, research fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford has to say. I'm sure it won't go well, but it's the truth.

What Radical Islam and the Woke Have in Common

Wokeism is just another version of Marxism; it scorns religion and the idea of an afterlife.

Wokeism divides society into myriad identities, whereas Islamists’ division is simpler: believers and unbelievers.

There are many other differences. But consider the resemblances.

The adherents of each pursue ideological purity, certain of their own rectitude.

Neither Islamists nor the Woke will engage in debate; both prefer indoctrination of the submissive and damnation of those who resist.

The two ideologies have distinctive rituals: Islamists shout “Allahu Akbar” and “Death to America”; the Woke shout “Black lives matter” and “I can’t breathe.”

Islamists pray to Mecca; the Woke take the knee.

Both like burning the American flag.

Both take offense at every opportunity and demand not just apologies but concessions.

Islamism inveighs against “blasphemy”; Wokeism wants to outlaw “hate speech.”

Islamists use the word “Islamophobia” to silence critics; the Woke do the same with “racism.”

Both ideologies aim to tear down the existing system and replace it with utopias that always turn out to be hellish anarchies: Islamic State in Raqqa, the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in Seattle.

Both are collectivist: Group identity trumps the individual.

Both tolerate—and often glorify—violence carried out by zealots.

The grievances of Islamists and the Woke aren’t merely economic and they won’t be satisfied with jobs or entitlements, or any other blandishments politicians are willing to offer.

Their motivations are ideological, and they will be satisfied only with power. And then they’ll demand more power.

We often struggle to understand the intersection of these fundamentalist ideologies. It seems an odd marriage between the radical left and Islam.

Biden needs to put a collar on Israel and yank the chain hard. And he could. Israel can ill-afford to lose US assistance.

Not worth starting WWIII just because the folks in Middle East can’t get along with each other.

If Trump was president we would have peace in Europe and the Middle East. Wild to think about.

And on the other side of the insane asylum, we have this:

A teenage Iranian girl who fell into a coma after an alleged altercation with morality police is now considered to be "brain dead", state media say.

And I bet that despite all that, Iran has its own equivalent of the thin blue line flag and plenty who fly it enthusiastically.

It's called clown range for a reason.

PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP. Anyone with a reasonable mind should be able to see the similarities.

CRT: The white colonists are oppressors who keep themselves in power over the oppressed (people of color) and try to impose their horrible Judeo-Christian values on the culture. The whole system must be burned down and the woke most take over society.

Islamic Nazism: Israel is an oppressor for making settlements in Gaza. The Palestinians are oppressed. Anything is justified to wipe out the evil Jews off the face of the Earth. A proletarian revolution is the only answer. The college students cheering on Hamas demonstrate this.

Don't be surprised if Antifa/BLM commits the next 9/11.

But the bigger problem according to Biden and the FBI are those extremist Catholics and Christians who want to end abortion rights and threaten "our democracy".

You should know better. Both the far left and the radical Islams loathe America and Western civilization.

I know, they hate the USA and Israel.

Do they even care for the fact that Hamas tried to commit Genocide against the Israelis when they invaded Israel?

I've never been one of those people who can't watch the news because it gives them anxiety. My wife is similar to that line of thinking, and probably wouldn't stay up-to-date on world events if it wasn't for me. She gets too wrapped up in the emotions to read the news often. On the other hand, I'm pretty good about separating emotional impact from the news stories I read.

That being said, this Middle East conflict is about as difficult topic to read as I've come across in recent years. Not just because of the bloodshed of innocent civilians (which is horrible no matter what "side" they are on), or the hostages still with Hamas, or all the other atrocities - all difficult to read. But most worrisome to me is the genuine fear that we have never been closer to WWIII than we are right now.

There has been a marked turn in statements coming from the State Department and Pentagon since the weekend. They have pretty much confirmed there will be a large increase in attacks on our troops stationed in the region over the coming days. It seems they are extremely worried about multiple fronts opening up against Israel. It seems they are extremely worried about Iran's involvement and encouragement to it's proxy terror groups on creating more chaos in the region. This is all before Israel even moves into Gaza with it's ground invasion, which will surely make tensions 100x worse. Iran has said if they move forward with that plan, all bets are off.

As put in a recent article, the Middle East is a "powder keg" right now and I feel like if someone sneezes the wrong direction the whole thing will go boom. Who knows what will happen at that point, but I don't have a good feeling about it in the slightest. It's pretty nerve-wracking and has made me impose a 'stop reading the news at 8PM' rule or else I stay up at night thinking about what might happen. Never happened to me until now.

It's about the only form of control I have over the situation, which isn't saying much, but I pray every night for peace and stability. I pray that cooler heads will prevail. I think the guy is a complete and utter moron who's losing his mental capacities, but I pray for President Biden and his administration's ability to steady the ship. I pray for our troops safety. At this point, I don't know what else to do.

I hope Biden can channel whatever strength and wisdom he has within him and perhaps some from a divine power to assist in this situation. My biggest concern is lack of leadership, we need people to RISE.

I share your sentiments.  This is what failed foreign policy on the part of many Western and Arab countries looks like.  Everyone looking out for their own interests instead of looking for peace and long term solutions.  The innocent civilians are the ones who pay again and again.

Ya I saw/noticed that change, too.  I was reading it as if its all but certain our troops are in harms way and will get attacked.

You wonder if both sides are waiting for how Israel decides to respond.

Occupation of Gaza by Israel is going to be a non-starter and will all but certain drag hezlbollah into the fight.

Alternatively, Israel leaving relatively quickly after destroying most of Hama will likely just allow Hamas remnants to build back up over time.

Israel is gonna have a mini, concentrated "Afghanistan" on their hands.

Perhaps they could pursue the two state approach in earnest this time?

Israel is the reason Hamas is in control of Gaza.  They tried their hand at divide and conquer with Gaza and the West Bank, and look what that got them.

Israeli and Palestinian blood is on Bibi's and the Israeli far right's hands.

Maybe they are having second thoughts on starting WWIII.

I doubt that will start WW3, the only way it happens is if Iran decides to get directly involved with the aid of the Russians.

The USA bases in the Middle East have been attacked by Iran
