Not sure why he is beating the drum of a warm/neutral Nino...he prob will start changing his tune this month.  Both the CanSIPS/CFSv2 have cooled the central PAC waters through the end of this year into JAN 2023.  Extended Nina??  

 

Edit: Long Live the "La Nina"....

Dang, these are some rather chilly waters hugging the western shores of S.A...besides the ever-lasting La Nina, the very warm waters building N of Hawaii has my attn...

It’s killing the southern plains.  
Heat and drought are off the hook.
