Anti Marine Layer
After being very dark and misty through about 11 am, it started to thin out around noon and finally mostly burned off by 3 pm. Some areas of the San Diego coast cleared even at the beaches.

Anti Marine Layer
SURPRISE! We will know in just about 4 months if 2023 is to be the year without a summer. Most likely it will be the record coldest June to September within twenty miles of the coast and then a Santa Ana wind event will finally arrive a few days after the Fall Equinox to finally scour out the marine layer and bring a record high of 116 F to Downtown LA on September 30. The rest of the country will have a deadly hot summer, hottest ever. There will be 500 million acres burned and smoke will spread across the Atlantic into Europe. Then El Nino will arrive by November and bring 25 atmospheric rivers in a row to Southern California.
Anti Marine Layer
We have the worst climate in the Northern Hemisphere here in May and June.
Anti Marine Layer
It's been drizzling all night long here. This is no doubt the worst May Gray in history. Fingers still crossed for any resemblance of a summer arriving after 4th of July.

Anti Marine Layer
Yet another deep marine layer this morning. Long gone are the days when a ridge of high pressure would cause a shallow marine layer. Hopefully climatology will return again sometime.
