Please spread the news to other California, Nevada, and Arizona weather nerds. I think everyone would enjoy some increased perspective from down south.

Most of our weather nerds post at weatherwest. Not sure how to lure them over here.

4 AM and I'm at 32.2F here in Murrieta right now. Last night's low was 33F here. Still have another 2-3 hours for the temperature to drop further, and it's not slowing down at all tonight.

Bottomed out at 31.2 F here just 30 minutes ago. Lowest temperature at my station since 2/5/20, when the temperature dipped down to 28.3 F.

Noticed the sun starting to feel a bit stronger on my skin again, and it’s not as dark at 4:30 anymore. Before long we’ll be turning the clocks forward again.

Only 38F outside right now, but I had to run a quick late-night errand and had to scrape the ice off my car's windshield before I could go anywhere.

Inversion still enough to greatly reduce the visibility compared to yesterday.

What will be the first day of 2022 that I wake up to full marine layer coverage? Place your bets here. I bet it happens before the end of this month.

I hope April and May are nice and warm with a few days of stormy weather mixed in. Then Summer is hot, and humid with frequent monsoonal and tropical moisture intrusions.
