Downtown L.A.'s high of 50F on February 25th was the first time a high of 50F or lower was recorded there since February 24th, 2001 - 22 years ago.

For a wider context, the last time that Downtown L.A. recorded a high below 50F (<49F) was on February 2nd, 1979. High that day was amazingly 46F. Those kind of days appear to be long gone for Downtown L.A., granted the station has relocated closer to the coast and lower in elevation since then (moved in July 1999) which may affect these readings.

The coldest high temperature ever recorded in Downtown L.A. was 43F on January 29th, 1922.
