Got a look to the south and east just before the rain started again an hour ago. All of the landscape east of here is completely white with snow, looks like it came down to 2500 feet.

The county rain gauge in Orcutt is now at 2.30" of rain since Wednesday evening. Most of that rain has fallen today.

Its currently 41F with steady rain and for some reason East winds up to 17 mph for the last 2 and half hours. Even though the NCFR passed hours ago. We went from a strong S winds to a light NW wind to now a healthy East wind. Strange.

Steady rain since about 3 AM, a little bit after I got home from work. Before that it was mostly wind instead of rain. 0.50" since midnight, already more than yesterday's 0.30".

Exceeded my seasonal average, as many other weather stations across Southern California have in recent weeks.

I do it on a midnight basis, the storms have been so constant lately that it's basically pointless for me to update it until the storms are over. As of this writing my season total is at 13.10".

It's accelerating. Finally some snow in the San Bernardino Mountains near Banning Pass.

Temp has been dropping during this storm. Started out at 50F at midnight, now it's 42F and still raining. 0.80" and still rising.

Super surprised 15 isn't closed yet. They've closed it for 3 inches before but I guess a blizzard with >1"/hr rates doesn't do it.

Anywhere above 1500 FT is a gamble at this point. I'm at 1300 FT and it's 39F with bouts of heavy rain.
