Forgot to mention... I caught some CFL football on Friday night when flipping channels. What a strange field and strange game. Field is 110 yards long and much wider and the end zones are 20 yards deep with the goal posts in the front which is right in the way when you have a goal line stand situation. The end zones look so strange. Just massive space. Must be so much easier to do those fade passes to the corners. And they have 12 players on both sides. And there are no fair catches. And the kicking team can score 1 point if a punt is received in the end zone and player doesn't make it out of the end zone. Its called a rouge. They also have 2 point safeties like the NFL.
No wonder Canadians prefer the NFL to their goofy version of football.
Eh, not very much of one atleast when I grew up there. You get a few nice-ish weeks from late August-mid September with highs in the 60s and 70s and cool low temps with some rainy and cloudy days. But the fall colors don't start showing up til the end of September, but by then the weather sucks pretty bad, of course there are sunny days but it's too cold.
NW autumns are wayyyy better, especially in the willamette valley. When I lived in Corvallis for college, September and October were my favorite months. It's still pretty nice here in Sunriver, but the willamette valley easily has the best autumn.
