Should've been in the WV where essentially every model was showing supercells from Sandy, north but no thunder except to the NE of Battle Ground, and the Coast Range. Still haven't forgiven myself for that bust.

Speaking of surface heating and instability, I’m still quite disappointed in March 2025. It was cool to witness from Orcas Island but it was a bust compared to what the models were advertising.

Looking at CAMs there's a decent chance Seattle gets shadowed while the south sound down to OR as well as the north sound/strait region gets the squall and PSCZ. Ah well.

Long range euro looks ok. Might be a change.

Those were in the second half of February though, around a month away from the spring equinox, so surface heating was viable. This Sunday is the winter solstice. Different ballpark.
