He turned Arizona around big time.   From total loser to 10-3 this year and they almost beat the Huskies so could have been 11-2.

Sounds like they are not happy in Arizona.

Huge Lions fan now... would love to see them win Super Bowl.     And of course hate the Rams.

He doesn't stay anywhere for very long, I would suggest UW fans not get too attached to him.  He has moved around so much, he must have stock in U-Haul or some other moving company

But Arizona was his first head coaching job.   Everything before that was just trying to gain experience.    Major upgrade for him going to Huskies now in the Big Ten.   But I am sure if he is wildly successful then someone will poach him.   Guess that is a good problem to have.

Yes and no, hard to say he's gaining experience when he moves every year, it takes about that long to settle in, learn the job and start making a real impact. He went through 4-5 places as some sort of combination of QB coach, Offensive coordinator, offensive coordinator/QB coach.  Not seeing a lot of growth until he finally got the HC job at Arizona.

Granted, I've never been a professional coach, nor have I been involved in hiring a professional coach, but I have been involved in hiring professional people for positions where you want the new hire to stay in the position more than a few minutes.  We tell people in the interview we are looking for 5 years.  It's not a hard requirement, but that's the level of commitment it takes to do the job and be competent.  The one time we went against our gut and hired someone with an employment history like this dude, he proved us right and was gone within 2 years.

Unless I was fully prepared for him to GTFO within 1-2 years, this coach would go in the "no" pile even if he was the only applicant.

Sort of irrelevant though because he won't be able to move if he is not successful... he will be fired.   And if he is successful then there is never a guarantee he won't be poached.

Arizona fans feel just like the Huskies did a couple days ago.   They were returning 18 of 22 starters and were 10-3 this year and now they assume the best offensive players are going to the Huskies with Jedd Fisch.

Here is the AZ perspective:

I agree with @Chewbacca Defense and @TT-SEA on Jedd Fisch. Pretty much everything Chewy is say, but I will throw Tim a bone in that it is pretty common for assistants to move around a lot.

All in all I think this is a great hire for UW, I was incredibly impressed by what he did at Arizona and the trajectory he had them, if his QB and WR combo follow him to UW it would be huge too. But he can definitely recruit and went from 1-11 in his first season to 10-3 last year. He's a bit of an unknown commodity, but he has more experience than Debone had coming in, and definitely more than Lanning who had no head coaching experience when Oregon hired him.

Other than the Lions/Rams game, wildcard weekend was terrible. This coming weekend games should be much better.

I don’t think he can coexist with Schneider.  They will both want to be in charge.
