If this was Nov-Jan, I would lob off an arm for the Euro solution. Next weekend is a long weekend here in Canada, so I’m rooting for a ridge—even a weak one.
1. I wasn't "calling you out".
2. I don't keep track of these things as closely as you, so I'll take your word on the impunity of others. F*ck impunity!
3. You've definitely done it more than once - and that's perfectly cool with me!
I've thought about that too... I actually think June was the most likely month we could have seen a heatwave like that. That's when the 4CH is at its warmest and driest, and we technically have the most heat to pull from. (Phil might interject here and tell me there's more energy in the system later in the summer, just stored as latent heat in evaporated water.)
Heads-up!
The SWPC says satellites have observed levels that reach a level 4 on their 5-point scale of geomagnetic activity as of 12:37 p.m. ET.
A "severe" geomagnetic storm is now in progress, according to NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center, raising hopes for a dazzling display of the Northern Lights on Friday night.
