TT-SEA
KOMO news on right now is tough to watch. They are talking about people needing to get prepared now in all of the Seattle area for the storm that is going to hit and hit hard. Then they send it out to a reporter in Kirkland standing next to a small tree that fell down yesterday as a slight breeze is evident in the background. The Swamp
The bottom line is a storm like this, this early in the season can do more damage based on the trees still having a lot of foliage. I think that is why it is being hyped so much.

TT-SEA
Kiro 7 zooming in on trees not moving to showcase the strong winds on the eastside I have to turn it off. Q13 found one tree down in Olympia and just spent about 30 minutes talking about it. Then said how bad it was getting as the trees in the background were not even moving. It was almost calm there. Then interviewed the crew cleaning it up and he said it was their only call for the day. How many trees fall down in Western WA on a normal day??? Abbotsford_wx
There was never supposed to be much wind until around 8 pm, so commenting on the lack of wind right now seems kinda silly. The winds are decreasing in the South Sound... its peaking now for Seattle. Watching these reporters standing next to the Sound trying to make it seem like the end of the world with very little wind and people strolling by with their dogs and kids is pretty funny. They have to end their live shots and say to the cameraman how stupid this is right now.
