3" of snow so far today. Quiet right now, but should see some snow at times through Thursday morning. I wouldn't be surprised to see another 4-8".

Nice! Such an amazing pattern for a huge part of the West.

Dropped down to -11F here this morning even with the solid cloud deck and light snow continuing to fall. 9" of snow now since yesterday afternoon. Should stay below -5F for a high today.

If we get any decent amount of clearing tonight it looks like we could easily drop to -20 to -25F.

Only got 1 more inch, so 8" for the event. Some spots had as much as 18" though! A fun storm but too bad the end didn't finish stronger.

Only dropped down to -14F here. Currently -11F. Wind Chill advisories are out through tomorrow now.

Going on 66 straight hours below zero here.

We should finally rise a few degrees above zero here in the next hour or two ending the streak.

Getting tired of that yet?

Yeah...below zero weather during the day sucks. Can't really do anything outside for any length of time.

Up to a balmy 3F now though so it's all good!

That's nuts. I wonder what Bozeman's record for that is?

I believe back in February 2011 DEN stayed below 0 for around 36 hours straight.

Well, Feb 1936 had 7 straight DAYS well below zero in Bozeman so we were nowhere close to that at least!

I am expecting additional storminess this weekend. A weak system (0-1") Saturday, a stronger system (3-6" Sunday-Monday), then another weaker system Monday night (1-2"). Should be another fun stretch.

Extended looks active with additional storms possible.

Temps have been much colder than forecast the past few days. Today was supposed to be near 40 as of yesterday, but only topped out at 27 at my place. Solid 6-7" snow pack.

Starting to look like I might put together my longest snow cover streak in a long time. The record is 65 days from my first winter here, 2006-07. I believe DEN had their second longest snow cover streak on record that winter.

Arctic front currently moving back in here with pressure rises and North winds beginning to increase. Not going to see a whole lot of snow with this front but some light snow is still likely with 45:1 snow ratios throughout the weekend. Maybe 1-3" tonight through tomorrow and another 2-4" Sunday night into Monday morning.

Looks like highs around zero all weekend with lows dropping to near -20F yet again. Wind Chill Advisories remain in effect.

Dropped down to -20F here this morning which is actually my coldest reading for my station since we moved here a little over a year ago. Again, pretty darn impressive cause we did it with cloud cover and off and on light snow. Looks like the airport dropped down to -21F.

Hoping (praying!) that we get above zero with a bit of a southerly push today with off and on light snow continuing. Currently -15F.

-20 with clouds and light snow is crazy.

Looking forward to spring yet?

Yeah, I've definitely never experienced it. Just total fairy dust falling from the sky. It's weird with these Arctic air masses, there is a constant haze in the sky with the atmosphere unable to hold any moisture. I saw the same thing when I flew into Chicago during the "Polar Vortex" a couple weeks ago.

It has gotten a bit old if I'm being honest. Can't do anything outside for any length of time. Looks like we'll get a little bit of a break on Tues/Wed from the Arctic onslaught at least before another push of cold air by the end of the week.

Looks cold for all you guys right now.

This morning its in the low 30s and windy. Skies are pretty clear but that will change later as the front rolls through. At my house, looking at 3-6" of snow.

The next system on Wed-Thurs looks like it may be more rain than snow at this point. Oh well, can't win them all.

It didn't start snowing here until around 8 this morning. Temp was in the low 30's but is now mid 20's. I'm going to say we'll end up with around 6 inches when all is said and done. It's at just over 5 inches at this point. Took until February to get a good snow storm! We'll see what Wednesday's storm brings!

This is kind of fun. Somewhat unexpectedly (NWS just allowed WWA to expire) a pretty large and potent deformation band has formed over Bozeman and is just dumping with huge dendrite growth!

Will be interesting to see how long it holds together cause right now it's falling at probably 2-3" per/hr.

Finally has warmed up with the Chinook winds howling to around 40mph. It's not nearly as warm as the westerlies usually are though. Only toping out in the low to mid 30's with lows still dropping into the teens. The below freezing temps along with our hefty snowpack is causing just tons of drifting.

We're under a Winter Weather Advisory beginning tonight with 3-6" of snow expected through Thursday morning and blizzard conditions expected at times with winds gusting to 40+ mph. Hopefully the winds will finally die down by Friday before another Arctic front moves in here on Sunday morning.

South wind @ around 20mph(pretty brisk for the least windy valley in a long radius) keeping us in mid 30's and DP in 20's at night. Wouldn't be able to tell that it's above freezing when you look outside unless you were looking at an arterial road though.

Much colder weather on the way here, after one more warm day tomorrow. Looks like temps well below normal from Saturday on, and a very cold President's Day on Monday with some snow likely.

Today was a pretty odd day in that it started out windy and warm in the morning with temps peaking in the low 50s around 10 am, then cooled into the 30s in the afternoon as temps switched to easterly.

Yesterday was pretty amazing for a few hours. A storm blew in from the south and the temperature dropped from the low 40's to 30 in a matter of minutes, the wind howled and the snow dumped. The first time for that experience and I've got to say pretty amazing! Some snow showers today but no accumulation from them.
